Ten Grants Awarded to Eastern Oregon from the Wildhorse Foundation

EASTERN OREGON – The Wildhorse Foundation recently released the list of Q2 2023 grant recipients. In total, ten recipients from Umatilla, Union and Wallowa Counties received grant funding totaling $155,831. The individual recipients, the funds they received, and the projects the grants are going towards are listed below:

Umatilla County

  • Weston Area Development Association. $30,000. Historic Long Branch Cafe and Saloon and Old Post Office Revitalization Project
  • City of Weston Parks & Recreation Commission. $20,000. Park Upgrades
  • Umatilla County Fire District. $29,256. EMS Equipment – Cardiac Monitor
  • CAPECO – Community Action Program. $18,000. Umatilla Morrow Community Resource Network (UMCRN)
  • Pilot Rock Parks & Recreation. $15,000. Reroof Community Center Building. 
  • Stanfield Elementary School. $7,575.  Renaissance Accelerated Reader (AR) Reading Supplemental Program
  • City of Stanfield. $10,000. Thomas J McCann Veteran’s Memorial Park.
  • Hermiston Historical and Cultural Society. $10,000. Hermiston Museum and Cultural Center – Planning and Development Phase

Union County

  • Northwest Forest Conservancy. $11,000. Emergency Repair to Failing Historic Brickwork at Hot Lake Lodge.

Wallowa County

  • Enterprise Elementary School. $5,000. Bikes for Tikes Bike Build.
