LA GRANDE – Giving kids something to do that is drug and alcohol free along with raising funds for a local non-profit is the purpose of an upcoming teen dance and carnival presented by the Oregon National Guard in La Grande.
There is no cost for this event with a valid Student ID, but donations are being accepted, all donations will then be given to Shelter from the Storm.
Recruiter Lori McNeil says that through her work as a recruiter for the local area, she has had people who have told her that they have received help from Shelter from the Storm and that they were one of the key places that helped them during times of need.
There will be a variety of activities for the teens who attend such as a costume contest, a DJ, Cornhole, smoke machines, plus the EOU Dance Team will be there helping out and having a photo booth.The Oregon National Guard Shamrock Shake Teen Dance and Carnival will be held at the La Grande Armory from 7pm to 10pm on March 19, 2022.
