Technician injured, hospitalized at Halfway fireworks display

HALFWAY — The fireworks show in Halfway was cut short due to a mishap, according to officials.
On July 4th, early on during the Halfway fireworks display, several of the explosives detonated at ground level. The Baker County Sheriff’s Office reports, “Debris from the explosions struck one of the technicians in the face. The victim was transported to a regional hospital by Life Flight.”
No further information was released on the incident or the condition of the victim.
