JOHN DAY – The Parsons boys are wrestling state champions for Grant Union High School!
Senior Taylor Parsons became a three-time state champion at the state match recently. Grant Union personnel say Taylor is “… a kind, humble young man and a great student who represents our school with character and class.”
When asked how it feels to win the championship three times, Parsons said, “It feels pretty good. Hard work pays off.”
In addition, Taylor’s younger brother and sophomore, Owen Parsons, wrestled his way to the top in his division, earning his first state championship. GU stated, “This didn’t happen overnight — it came from showing up every single day, putting [his] head down, and going to work.”
Congratulations, boys!
