Taylee Smith to be crowned Grant County Fair & Rodeo Queen March 1st

JOHN DAY – Grant County Fairgrounds Manager Mindy Winegar recently reminded folks that the 2025 Grant County Fair & Rodeo Queen Coronation will be March 1st at the Grant County Fairgrounds Pavilion. She noted that 2025 Grand Marshal Katherine Gibbs will be inducted and the new Rodeo Queen, Taylee Smith, will be crowned.
The induction ceremony begins at 5 p.m. on March 1st, and Winegar said this will be the opportunity for Taylee to gather funding for her travels this year:
“This will be the only fundraiser that she does. It [will allow her] to travel all over the state of Oregon, Idaho, and I think they even go up into Washington. That is to advertise for our fair, and rodeo, and our community in general.”
