KENNEWICK – The Kennewick Police Department arrested a Pasco man suspected of forcibly taking a woman from her Kennewick residence Friday.
Shortly after 8 a.m. Friday, police said Johnny Ray Cochran Davis, 24, kidnapped a 19-year-old female, taking her from her home on South Newport Street. The suspect and victim had known each other. Police said it was not a random abduction.
At about 1:30 p.m., KPD along with regional law enforcement partners located Davis on the 6700 block of West Kennewick Avenue. He fled on foot, but was found a short distance later. Davis was booked into the Benton County Jail for first-degree burglary, kidnapping, and assault.
Police say the victim was located at a home on Kennewick Avenue where police first began their pursuit of the suspect. They did not release any information about her condition.
