KENNEWICK — The Kennewick Police Department responded to a vehicle versus house collision at about 5:40 p.m. Monday. The house located on the 500 block of East Third Avenue sustained heavy damage.
A 62-year-old woman who was inside at the time was injured as a result of the vehicle entering the house. She was transported to a local hospital for evaluation. The injuries are believed to be non-life threatening at this time.
The driver of the vehicle was a 26-year old male who was taken into custody. The vehicle was occupied by three children ages 8, 7, and 3. The children were evaluated by Kennewick Fire Department medics and determined to be okay. Family responded and took custody of the children. The male driver was booked into the Benton County Jail for DUI, operating a vehicle without a valid license, and three counts of reckless endangerment-domestic violence.
