PASCO – Deputies from the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched Thursday night to an assault aboard an Amtrak train which had stopped at U.S. 395 and Sagemoor Road in Pasco.

BNSF Railway Police reported an intoxicated male passenger had threatened passengers with a knife.

When deputies arrived, they found the suspect barricaded in a bathroom. The deputies, assisted by Pasco police, took the suspect into custody without incident. The man was booked into the Franklin County Jail for three counts of second-degree assault.

Law enforcement did not release the suspect’s name, but the Franklin County Jail roster lists Wesley Burgess Young as being held on those charges with his arrest at the appropriate date and time.
