PORTLAND – The Oregon State Police, working with The Dalles Police Department and the Wasco County Sheriff’s Office, continues to search for Logan Cantwell, 23. He is wanted as a suspect in a shots fired incident Saturday morning involving a Wasco County deputy.
The OSP SWAT team searched a residence near Shaniko on Saturday in an attempt to locate Cantwell. Highway 97 was shut down for several hours as detectives collected evidence and documented the scene.
OSP confirmed Monday morning that Cantwell had not yet been located. While there has been no official description of the suspect, a photograph has been provided. Law enforcement reports that Cantwell is also known to use two aliases, Logan Taylor or Kendall Myers.
OSP cautions if people see the suspect, they should not approach him. Any information regarding his location needs to be made immediately by calling 911. The case number is SP21319426.
UPDATE: OSP has provided a description of Cantwell.
Cantwell is a white, 23‐year‐old male, 5’04”, short strawberry blonde hair, blue eyes, and approximately 140 lbs. He is believed to be in the Columbia Gorge, on either the Oregon or Washington side and is considered armed and dangerous.
