Sun Valley man cited for driving 91mph in 55mph area

BAKER COUNTY – A Sun Valley, California man was arrested by citation for Reckless Driving recently after he was checked driving 91 MPH along I-84 just west of Baker City. According to reports from Oregon State Police in Baker County, 55-year-old Rafik Karapetyan was driving a large cargo van on an icy road surface with additional traffic violations observed. Variable Speed Signs set by ODOT were showing a speed limit of 55mph at the time due to conditions on the interstate.

When Karapetyan was stopped he stated that he had an important delivery to make and was in a hurry. He was arrested by cite and release for Reckless Driving.
