WALLA WALLA – Sumach Street from Fourth Avenue to Sixth Avenue will be closed beginning tomorrow (Tuesday) through mid-October for roadway and utility improvements as well as accessibility enhancements.

There will be minor impacts at Fourth Avenue intersections with Oak Street and Cherry Street, primarily affecting pedestrian traffic starting tomorrow (Tuesday) through mid-August.

Parking on Sumach Street between Fourth Avenue and Sixth Avenue will be restricted throughout construction. Residents affected by limited on-street parking in the project area may park on the east side of the city lot on Fifth Avenue. Additional on-street parking is available on Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth avenues off Sumach Street.
