COLLEGE PLACE – College Place Public Schools has announced that all enrolled students in the district will receive a healthy breakfast and lunch at school during each day of the 2022-23 school year, at no cost.

The district announced it would be implementing the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) program, which is available to select schools and districts participating in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs.

Students in College Place Public Schools will be able to participate in these meal programs without having to pay a fee or submit a meal application.

The district states it will still request a family income survey from households with a student participating in the CEP, however, free breakfast and lunch meals do not depend on returning it. Completing the application is still necessary for other programs and fee waivers and may be used to determine if your household is eligible for these additional benefits.  Benefits such as reduced or full waiver of event entry fees, ASB fees, Running Start fees, ACT/SAT fees, and more are based on the completion of the forms. The Family Income Survey will be available to parents in the early Fall.

The first day of school for College Place Public Schools is next Monday, Aug. 29.
