UNION – (Letter sent to families by the Union School District) “A great number of items have been happening over the summer here at Union School District. We have had a great deal of construction completed so far this summer and there is a great deal that is still to be done. The start of school for students is planned for September 7th, 2021 and staff will report back on August 31st. Please keep in mind that all of the bond construction will not be totally complete until the fall of 2022. This will be somewhat cumbersome but in the long term this temporary inconvenience will be wonderful for the students and staff in the not so distant future. Please see the attached letter with the update on the bond projects.

Please understand that Covid-19 has changed the landscape of our world dramatically and continues to change daily. Union School District is committed to providing your student with a great educational experience and will do this in the safest possible manner that will help your child grow through these challenging times. Oregon Health Authority and Oregon Department of Education strongly advise face coverings for all staff and students. Union School District will refrain from implementing consequences that deny access to instruction and will continually provide instruction and positive reinforcement to help all students. Punitive measures will not be used to remind, motivate, and reinforce heathy practices. Thank you again for your patience with us as we navigate through these very challenging times and as rules and regulations change we will send out updates.
Respectfully,
Carter L. Wells
