WALLA WALLA — The Walla Walla City Council will hold a workshop today at 4 p.m. On the agenda is a joint meeting with the salary commission. The council and members of the commission will look at a mayor-council compensation comparison.
The council will also hear a presentation on the 2021 street survey results. In July and August, on behalf of the city, the nonprofit organization Cobalt Community Research conducted a random sample of 1,500 addresses of active registered voters in Walla Walla. Responses were received from 408 residents. An additional 88 responses were received from a non-statistically valid internet-based survey. Citizens were asked a variety of questions regarding streets and street funding. William SaintAmour from Cobalt Community Research will present a summary of the survey findings to council.
An update on work that has already begun to refresh the city’s mission, vision and values will also be presented to council by Deputy City Manager Elizabeth Chamberlain.
The meeting will be streamed on the city’s website and on Zoom. The ID number is 829 1150 0488.
