BAKER CITY — Several downtown streets will be closed on Saturday, June 22, for the annual Baker City Cycling Classic. The closures will accommodate Stage 3 of the event, the Baker City Downtown Criterium, which features a fast-paced, six-corner course in the heart of the city.

The Baker City Cycling Classic runs from Friday through Sunday, June 21-23, 2024. Participants are required to check in on Thursday, June 20. The event consists of four stages: the Catherine Creek Road Race, the Baker City Time Trial, the Downtown Criterium, and the Anthony Lakes Road Race.
According to race organizers, the Downtown Criterium will offer spectators a thrilling view of the competition as cyclists navigate the wide roads of historic downtown Baker City. Traffic will be redirected around the closed streets, and residents are advised to plan accordingly.
