Street closure and vegetation cleanup planned for Baker City today

BAKER CITY – Resort St. in Baker City will be closed all day today, June 26, between the intersections of Valley Avenue and Washington Street. This is to accommodate the instillation of a sewer lateral. Drivers should plan an alternate route for the duration of the day if needed.
In addition, volunteers will be cleaning up vegetation and debris along the Powder River north of Bridge Street. The approximate work area can be seen in the map above. Pedestrians should be mindful of Side-by-sides along the Leo Adler Memorial Pathway as these will be used to transport materials. Work is expected to last from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
