Storage and picnic area going up at Grant Co. Fairgrounds

JOHN DAY – Folks may have noticed the new building being constructed on the Grant County Fairgrounds. A new picnic and storage area for the fairgrounds is going up where the old tennis and basketball courts were, and Fairgrounds Manager Mindy Winegar explained a little about the new space:

“So, that will be our storage unit-slash-picnic area also. It will have a twelve foot awning on the south side, and we’ll have picnic tables under there, and we’ll have all of our storage in one place.”

Winegar gave a special shout out to STRUX Engineering and John Day Polaris for helping make it all happen.
