WALLA WALLA – A surplus ambulance stolen from Columbia County was recovered Thursday night on the 1800 block of Pleasant Avenue in Walla Walla.

The Walla Walla Police Department said the old 2006 Ford Econoline surplus ambulance was registered to a private citizen in Walla Walla.

Bailey M. Bertinelli, 29, of Walla Walla was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle and making false statements to a public servant. She was also located on the 1800 block of Pleasant Avenue at midnight in possession of the stolen vehicle.

WWPD said the false statement charge is because she lied about her boyfriend, Tyson C. Snarr, 29, of Walla Walla, being in the house. He was arrested for outstanding failure to appear warrants. Currently, Snarr has not been connected to the stolen vehicle.
