Stabbing done by a screwdriver at Burns Pond

HARNEY COUNTY-On Wednesday, August 14, Harney County Dispatch Center received a 911 call that a male and female were fighting at the Burns Pond. The female reportedly stabbed the male in the leg with a screwdriver multiple times.
Harney County Sheriff’s Office personnel, a Burns Police Officer and Harney EMS responded to the scene.
An investigation was conducted, and the Sheriff’s Office personnel arrested Cassie Moore, also known as Cassie Keahlier, for Assault III domestic violence and Adam Griffee for Assault IV domestic violence. Both parties were lodged at the Harney County Jail after being medically cleared.
A dog in the possession of Mrs. Moore and Mr. Griffee had unexplained injuries on it. The dog was taken to the vet for care. The dog’s injuries were diagnosed as being chemical burns and are being treated by the vet.
Controlled substances were a contributing factor in the case.
