St. Alphonsus Winter Ball & Banquet to benefit Baker City hospital

BAKER CITY — Folks wanting to help with health care efforts in Baker County may want to attend the next hospital event. The Hospital Foundation Board of Saint Alphonsus will be holding the Winter Ball and Banquet, a formal event this month to benefit the hospital in Baker City.

Board Member Angela Robb informed our newsroom that in the past, the board has been able to help in the purchase of multiple pieces of medical equipment for the hospital. Robb mentioned that previous fundraisers have allowed for the purchase of a new infusion chair, a new wound procedure chair, items for dementia patients, swing beds, fitness rooms for employees, sleep room improvements, ER supplies, a “sacred space,” and more.

The Winter Ball and Banquet will be held January 25^th, from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. at the Baker County fairgrounds Event Center. The event will feature catering and a no-host bar.
