ONTARIO — The Snake River Correctional Institution in Ontario’s Recreation Department held a St. Patrick’s Day concert last week. The department reports that over 100 adults in custody attended the event. Recreation Specialist M. Vokral started things off by discussing the “importance of music as a therapeutic tool in the rehabilitation of adults in custody.”

The show consisted of two bands with nearly a dozen adults in custody who performed a mix of classic rock, contemporary rock, and spoken word.

The Oregon Department of Corrections release states, “The Recreation Department would like to thank all the wonderful participants, as well as the staff and security who worked alongside of us to make this event possible and successful.”
