SRCI in Ontario reports success with incentive meal event

ONTARIO — The Oregon Department of Corrections reports that Snake River Correctional Institution recently hosted the first of four planned non-cash incentive meals for adults in custody. The goal for the special meal was to recognize positive behavior and accountability for those within the facility.

ODC stated, “Approximately one-third of SRCI’s population participated, reflecting strong interest in incentive-based opportunities. Initiatives like this support positive conduct, encourage personal responsibility, and contribute to a constructive facility environment.”

The participants enjoyed burritos for their meal, with their choice of beef, chicken, or vegetarian.
