WALLA WALLA – The Walla Walla Fire Department said an accidental fire is presumed to have started Friday night by a space heater being used to keep pipes from freezing in the crawl space. Firefighters were dispatched to a structure fire at 7:38 p.m. on the 300 block of South Fourth Avenue.
Once firefighters arrived, they immediately went to work extinguishing the fire. The fire was brought under control at 8:19 p.m.
There were no injuries to firefighters or occupants. Property and content losses are estimated at $150,000.
