WALLOWA COUNTY – Soroptimist International of Wallowa County has announced their 2022 Scholarship Recipients. A total of eight students from Wallowa County have received $2,000 scholarships. According to the group, the eight students are planning on attending a 4-year college/university to obtain a bachelor’s degree.
The eight students awarded scholarships are as follows:
•Chase Homan – Joseph Charter School – University of Idaho – Finance & Golf Course Management.
•Willie Gibbs – Wallowa High School – University of Idaho- Broadcasting & Forestry.
•Haley Brockamp – Wallowa High School- Lewis-Clark State College – Radiology
•Rosie Movich-Fields – Enterprise High School – Scripps College – Non-Profit Management.
•Alona Yost – Enterprise High School – Eastern Oregon University – Ecological or Environmental Engineering.
•Jada Gray – Enterprise High School – Lewis-Clark State College – Dental Hygiene
•Lannie Stonebrink – Enterprise High School- Eastern Oregon University-Veterinary Medicine.
•Sophia Espinosa – Enterprise High School – Western Oregon University– Psychology & Pre-Med
In addition, four Wallowa County students who will be enrolling in a two-year or less program will each receive our $1,000 Pro-Tech Award.
The four students awarded scholarships are:
•Ian Goodrich – Joseph Charter School- Treasure Valley Community College- Natural Resources, Agriculture, Fish & Wildlife.
•Rilyn Kirkland – Enterprise High School – Dawson Community College- Nursing Program
•Destiny Wecks – Enterprise High School – Treasure Valley Community College -AG Business Management & Equine Science.
•Adelene Royes – Enterprise High School – Northwest College – Equine Training.
