LA GRANDE – (Information from Soroptimist International of La Grande) La Grande Parks and Recreation have been busy laying the groundwork for what will be a new state of the art playground at riverside park. Of course, such an extensive replacement of a beloved community landmark isn’t going to come cheap. Thankfully, the community is already stepping up. Soroptimist International of La Grande recently donated fifty thousand dollars toward the project. Featured above is Parks and Recreation Director Stu Spence accepting the donation.
For those that may have missed it, Parks and Recreation are also still looking for community feedback on one of three possible designs for the new playground. More information and a link to the playground survey can be found at New Riverside Playground Designs Released – Elkhorn Media Group.
