Soroptimist Education Fund Applications Open for Union County High School Seniors & Graduates

LA GRANDE – (Release from Soroptimist International of La Grande) Soroptimist International is now accepting education funding applications. Union County high school seniors and graduates may apply for one of three available education funds. Currently open funds and their criteria are as follows:

1.  EOU Senior Scholarship
Award: $5,000
For Academic Year: 2023-2024
Submission Due Date:  Must be received by March 15, 2023
Eligibility:
– Must be female, credited for Senior status for the three terms of the scholarship.
– Must be a graduate of a Union County high school or have been a Union County
resident for the past five years.

2.  EOU Continuing Education Funding
Awards: 
– $1,000 to $3,000, varies on applications received
For Academic Year: 2023-2024
Submission Due Date:  Must be received by March 15, 2023
Eligibility:
– Must be female, credited at Sophomore, Junior, or Senior status for the three terms of the
scholarship.
– GPA 2.5 or better
– Must be a graduate of a Union County high school

3.  Union County High School Graduate Education Funding  
Award: $1,000 to $2,500, varies on applications received
For academic year: 2023-2024
Submission Due Date: Must be received by March 15, 2023
Eligibility:
– Must be a female, a resident of Union County, and graduate of a Union County High School
– Not university specific, but preference will be given to those attending Eastern Oregon
University.
