Some evacuation levels are lowered for Harney County with the Falls Fire

HARNEY COUNTY-The Harney County Sheriff’s Office, with collaboration from Falls and Telephone Fires 2024, Harney County Emergency Management, and fire personnel, are updating and lowering evacuation levels in some areas due to the increased containment of the Falls Fire as outlined below.

o The immediate area to the west and south of the Falls Fire Level 3

o The City of Burns, City of Hines, and Burns Paiute Tribe

o The area south of Rye Grass Lane and Lane 9 to Highway 78, the area between Highway 205 and Highway 78

o Zone 031A: The area east of 4510 Road to the 41 Road (this zone is to the west of the Falls Fire)

o Zone 067A: The area east of the 4120 Road, south of the 41 Road all the way down to Highway 20
