JOHN DAY/PRAIRIE CITY – The month of March begins tomorrow, and according to the National Weather Service in Pendleton, we will be able to expect some sunshine throughout most of Grant County.

Today, however, it’s still February and it plans on doing February-like things, such as snow. The agency reports snowfall impacts will continue through the evening. We’re looking at about a 50% chance of snow throughout the day and tonight in the John Day Basin and Ochoco-John Day Highlands.

Travelers beware—the highest totals from this system are expected across the Oregon Cascades into the southern Washington Cascades. Follow weather updates at weather.gov/pdt.
