Smith schedules a Highway 11 safety meeting

MILTON-FREEWATER – Rep. Greg Smith (R-Heppner) is hosting a safety round table to discuss problems on Highway 11 between Milton-Freewater and Stateline Road. Oregon Department of Transportation Region 5 Manager Ken Patterson will be attending.

Also in attendance will be other members of Patterson’s staff and the Oregon State Police. Smith said the public is welcome to express concerns and give local perspectives on possible solutions.

“There has been an outpouring of constituents expressing safety concerns of Highway 11 between Milton-Freewater and Stateline Road,” Smith said. “The Intention of this roundtable is to bring the community together and have a discussion with ODOT and other state officials on potential solutions.”

The meeting will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 13. It will be in the Milton-Freewater Community Building, 109 NE Fifth Ave.
