Small fire outside of Elgin now in mop up

ELGIN – Crews made quick work of a human-caused fire in the Shaw Creek area outside of Elgin this afternoon.  According to the Blue Mountain Interagency Dispatch Center, the Geiger Fire, was located 5 miles South South/East of Elgin and was reported at approximately one acre. 

Oregon Department of Forestry is the lead agency on this incident.

According to official the fire is in mop up and will be monitored in the coming days.
