STARKEY, OR – A couple of Highway construction projects to be aware of as you commute to your destinations this week. On Highway 244, between Red Bridge and Starkey, a new retaining wall will be constructed, with delays up to 15-minutes. Flaggers will be in place. On I-84 single lane travel will continue from milepost 237 to 242, as paving continues as well as bridge work. As in any work zone, the speed zone is 50 mile-per-hour.
Also, a project to repair and install linings in culverts crossing under the freeway will continue all week. Intermittent shoulder closures will occur Monday through Thursday West Bound Mile Post 227.5 – 227.3. The closures will accommodate repairs and lining of culvert pipes crossing the freeway. This work will occur during daylight hours.
