WALLA WALLA – A Burbank man pleaded guilty to third-degree theft Wednesday in Walla Walla County Superior Court after being arrested for stealing a slide from a city park in Pasco. Dustin A. Bushnell, 30, took the slide sometime between Dec. 26, 2020, and Feb. 26 according to his plea of guilty statement.

The slide, which weighs about 400 pounds, was later found in Bushnell’s home. It had been repainted and attached to a bunk bed.

Bushnell received credit for four days already spent in the Walla Walla County Jail following his arrest in February. He was also fined $250. He may be required to pay restitution, but that has yet to be determined.

In August, Bushnell was named in another criminal theft case in Benton County following the execution of a burglary search warrant. He was taken into custody and charged with second-degree burglary after stolen property was recovered. He has also been identified as being associated with catalytic converter thefts.
