BAKER/UNION COUNTIES — Anthony Lakes Mountain Resort has announced that it will open the 2023/2024 ski season on Saturday, December 16.
With a base elevation of 7100 feet, the resort said with 8 inches of fresh new snow over the weekend, cool weather and no rain, they decided the time was right to start up the ski lift.
“Anthony Lakes is excited to start the 2024 season and is looking forward to two weeks of skiing/riding during the holiday break. While we’re all pumped to get out there and make turns, we want to remind skiers and riders that early season conditions do exist and to stay on groomed runs and watch for unmarked obstacles,” said Chelsea Judy, Marketing Director for Anthony Lakes Outdoor Recreation Association. “Stay tuned for more information on the new Nordic warming yurt, Houtz’ House, as well as information on Skiing with Santa and live music this holiday break!”
Lift tickets will be available for online purchase beginning Tuesday, December 12. The resort highly recommends that you purchase your lift tickets online for a quicker ticket booth experience. Tickets can be purchased on the mountain too.
