WALLA WALLA – The Walla Walla Police Department made an arrest Saturday following a shots fired investigation on the 1800 block of Melrose Street with a possible involved vehicle leaving the area. When officers arrived, they found a weapon had been fired but nobody had been struck.
Nisi Lopez-Salazar, 20, was taken into custody in connection with the shooting after the Walla Walla Police Department Street Crimes Unit began investigating the attempted shooting which led to several search warrants.
Probable cause charges have been field against Lopez-Salazar for first-degree assault, drive by shooting, weapons violation, possession with intent to deliver illegal narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is currently being held in the Walla Walla County Jail on a $75,000 bond.
