CANYON CITY/MONUMENT – Grant County Sheriff Todd McKinley was in County Court earlier today and gave an update on a couple of things. The Sheriff said the John Day River is on the rise near Monument, and he also provided some updated case load numbers:
“I have a deputy in Monument this morning and he said the river is up, so just to let the court know. It’s murky and there are trees going by.
We’re at 1,216 calls so far this year and 347 cases on the case load.”
There are currently no flood warnings in place within Grant County.
