Sheriff McKinley says unattended death was not suspicious

GRANT COUNTY – Some concerning scanner traffic on Tuesday regarding a potential dead body prompted a few listeners to reach out to Elkhorn Media Group for further information.

The Grant County Sheriff’s Office responded Tuesday afternoon to a location on Keeney Fork Road in Grant County for an unattended death. While he did not release further details, Grant County Sheriff Todd McKinley informed our newsroom that the circumstances surrounding the incident were not suspicious.

The original call came into Grant County Emergency Communications around 12:19 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon. We’ll provide official updates as information is released.
