GRANT COUNTY – Grant County Sheriff Todd McKinley was recently in EMG Studios and highlighted an uptick in vehicle thefts in surrounding areas. He said that unfortunately, even for rural Grant County, the time has come to an end for leaving the keys in your rig with it unlocked:
“I’ve watched a little bit to the north of us the amount of vehicles that are being stolen. Not in Grant County per se, but other counties. Don’t get too comfortable with leaving things in your car, and keep your car secured. It’s not a bad thing to lock your car up.”
The Sheriff also mentioned the importance of community members documenting any suspicious activity they may see with pictures or detailed notes.
