GRANT COUNTY – As summer gets near and restrictions lift, more Oregonians and visitors are heading out to explore and enjoy and our beautiful local landscape. Grant County Sheriff Todd McKinley reminds those who visit and recreate outdoors to be mindful:
“I’m glad that you come to Grant County to recreate here, just treat it with respect. You bring it in—pack it out, please. That’s a big thing. Keep our forests enjoyable, and our recreation areas enjoyable for everyone.”
Remember to be prepared with water, food, fuel and a map. In case of emergencies, dial 9-1-1. Grant County also accepts texts to 9-1-1 where cell service is limited.
