JOHN DAY โ€“ Grant County Sheriff Todd McKinley was on KJDYโ€™s Coffee Time recently. The Sheriff said his department is currently seeking information on a man who used to live here, and is now a murder suspect. According to McKinley, Robert Crosby, who goes by Bobby, first came to Grant County in 2017 with the Rainbow Gathering. He said Crosby got into trouble last year:

โ€œDuring the Timber Truckerโ€™s Light Parade last year, [he] ended up stealing a vehicle out of Long Creek, and was arrested in Mt. Vernon that night. After that, being released from jail, he took off. We have warrants for himโ€”still doโ€”but we know where he is.

He ended up being the suspect in a murder in Montana and was actually piucked up in Wyoming. Iโ€™ve been working with the Sheriffโ€™s Office up there quite heavily.โ€

Sheriff McKinley asked the public that if anyone has informationโ€”perhaps someone recently reached out to him between early December and the month of Mayโ€”to contact the Sheriffโ€™s Office with that information.
