JOHN DAY โ Grant County Sheriff Todd McKinley was on KJDYโs Coffee Time recently. The Sheriff said his department is currently seeking information on a man who used to live here, and is now a murder suspect. According to McKinley, Robert Crosby, who goes by Bobby, first came to Grant County in 2017 with the Rainbow Gathering. He said Crosby got into trouble last year:
โDuring the Timber Truckerโs Light Parade last year, [he] ended up stealing a vehicle out of Long Creek, and was arrested in Mt. Vernon that night. After that, being released from jail, he took off. We have warrants for himโstill doโbut we know where he is.
He ended up being the suspect in a murder in Montana and was actually piucked up in Wyoming. Iโve been working with the Sheriffโs Office up there quite heavily.โ
Sheriff McKinley asked the public that if anyone has informationโperhaps someone recently reached out to him between early December and the month of Mayโto contact the Sheriffโs Office with that information.
