Sheriff McKinley issues press release regarding Jason Skinner

GRANT & HARNEY COUNTY- Grant County Sheriff Todd McKinley has issued a release regarding Jason Skinner, who recently turned himself in on a felony warrant.

“On the afternoon of July 10th a 911 call to the Grant County Emergency Communication Center from John Atkins of Burns Oregon led Deputies and Searchers to a remote area south of Izee called Alsop Mountain in an effort to locate Atkins.

Atkins was located after a difficult search, but the driver of the crashed stolen vehicle the two had been riding in, later identified as Jason Skinner, fled the area.

Skinner turned himself in at the Harney County Jail on August 4th on his outstanding warrants.

Sheriff McKinley would like to thank all agencies and personnel that were involved in this search effort for their dedication and professionalism in getting this situation resolved.”
