Sheriff McKinley commends local kindness and volunteerism

LONG CREEK – Grant County Sheriff Todd McKinley recently gave warm testimony to the shows of kindness displayed throughout the local community on Coffee Time. He gave a special shout-out to Long Creek Mayor and Fire Chief Don Porter:

“I don’t think people realize how much some people in this county do for others. I’ll give a shout-out to Don Porter up there in Long Creek—the Mayor, the Fire Chief…I call him the ‘Chief Cook and Bottle Washer’ of Long Creek—people like that, that reach out. They don’t do it for the notoriety, but they are helping people a lot to keep up and to get their feet back under them.”

Hats off to Mayor Porter, and all those who help serve others in Grant County.
