Several prescribed fires throughout Grant County

GRANT COUNTY-The Blue Mountain Ranger District has 3 ignitions of prescribed burns going now through November 13, 2025.
Prescribed burn Magone PCT 2045 Piles will burn 174 acres and is located 9 miles north of John Day, PCRD Pile burn is located 15.5 miles east of Seneca and will burn 59 acres and prescribed burn Rag Bull Pile Burning is located 21.2 miles southwest of Unity.
The prescribed burn is weather and smoke management dependent. After ignitions are completed, smoke will be visible for several days.
