WALLA WALLA – The sentencing of Ira Toledo, 23, of Pendleton, originally scheduled for Monday in Walla Walla County Superior Court has been continued. The date for the sentencing has not been rescheduled. Toledo is a suspect in the summer 2021 group attack that allegedly took place in Walla Walla.

Walla Walla County Prosecuting Attorney Gabe Acosta said Toledo would not be sentenced until a resolution and/or trial of alleged group attack organizer Charles Thompkins Jr., 65, and his son Habukkuk Thompkins, 22, both of Pendleton, takes place.

All three were part of a group who went to Walla Walla on July 5, 2021, to confront people who they allege were in possession of a stolen SUV which belonged to Charles Thompkins Jr. Three people were injured.

Court proceedings involving several of the defendants continue.
