SENECA, OR – According to the Malheur National Forest, road work will be underway on FSR 16 between Sene and Parish Cabins through sometime in July. Find the full press release below:

Good news! The paving project on Forest Service Road (FSR) 16 from Seneca towards FSR 15 junction is scheduled to start this month.
The contractors will begin work on Tuesday, April 26th.They will start with two culvert replacements along Bear Creek, then begin eight miles of full depth reclamation of the existing roadway, followed by paving. The operation will work from the east side of the project around Parish Cabin towards Seneca, working from April 26th to early July. The asphalt plant will be set up in Shoestring Glade rock pit on FSR 1640.
FRS 16 road between Seneca and Parish Cabin will have one lane open to traffic throughout operations with up to 30 minute delays. Spread the word widely and plan accordingly.
