Semi-truck driver arrested for Attempt to Elude

LA GRANDE – Oregon State Police arrested a commercial truck driver, early Wednesday morning after a trooper noticed the truck driving recklessly at milepost 226 on I-84, east of Pendleton. The trooper attempted to the Commercial truck but failed to stop. The semi-truck was later located, parked on Highway 203 near the Flying J Truck Stop. James Washington, 55 of New York was arrested for Attempt to Elude and Reckless Driving.
It was undetermined why the driver didn’t stop when directed to. If anyone was a witness to this reckless driving please call the Oregon State Police at 541-278-4090 and leave information for Senior Trooper Dan Chichester
