KENNEWICK – Detectives from the Benton County Sheriff’s Office identified a 13-year-old boy as one of the suspects in the death of Jatzivy Sarabia, 18. A warrant was obtained for first-degree murder with aggravated circumstances with nationwide extradition for the suspect.
On Thursday, the suspect was located in Kennewick with the help of the United States Marshals Service. A traffic stop was made on a car the suspect was in near Tenth Avenue and Ely Street. The suspect was taken into custody and booked into the Benton-Franklin Counties Juvenile Justice Center on suspicion of aggravated first-degree murder with a notice of firearm allegation and enhancement.
Sarabia died following an Oct. 15 shooting between two vehicles on State Route 397 near Third Avenue.
Another suspect, Isiah Combs, 20, was arrested days following the shooting after detectives received information that a Honda Civic used in the shooting was parked outside an apartment. Combs was arrested without incident and booked on suspicion of aggravated first-degree murder with a notice of firearm allegation and enhancement.
