VALE – The search for a Boise woman who was last seen in Malheur County has been suspended.
Malheur County Sheriff Travis Johnson confirmed the news to Elkhorn Media Group.
Gwen Brunelle, 27, was last seen Tuesday, June 27, at the Sinclair gas station in Jordan Valley. Search crews were activated Saturday, July 1, after Brunelleโs car was found about a half mile from Succor Creek Road west of U.S. Highway 95 near the Idaho/Oregon border, Friday, June 30.
An extensive search involving dozens of volunteers and multiple agencies, including the Baker County Sheriffโs Office in the Succor Creek area failed to turn up any sign of Brunelle, said Sheriff Johnson.
โIt was a large-scale search we conducted that covered more than 1,000 acres and 300 miles using all the means at our disposal, including a helicopter, vehicles and horses,โ said Johnson.
The Sheriff said the search for the woman is suspended unless โwe find some new information.โ
โItโs a tough situation.โ said Johnson.
Brunelle is 5-foot-7 and weighs about 160 pounds with brown eyes and medium brown hair.
Anyone with information about Brunelle can contact the sheriffโs office at 541-473-5125.
