Search efforts continue for Kaylee Birt who went missing in Harney County

HARNEY COUNTY-Harney County Sheriff’s Office is sharing an urgent post about Kaylee Birt, who was last seen leaving the Fields Store, in Southern Harney County on April 4, 2025. Following the initial missing person report, efforts were made to locate her.
Searching resumed on April 5 in the area where Kaylee’s phone last pinged. Despite the search efforts, deputies were unable to locate her.
Sunday morning, search efforts continued by air and earlier in the afternoon, Kaylee’s car was discovered in a remote part of Southern Harney County. Unfortunately, Kaylee was not with her car.
Search efforts are continuing, utilizing available resources which include, Harney County Search & Rescue, Lake County Search & Rescue, Local ranchers: 6 on horseback, 2 on side-by-sides, and 2 on 4 wheelers, Grant County Search & Rescue with search K9’s, Oregon State Police and Harney County Sheriff’s Office.
