Scouts of Baker City area to collect old Christmas trees Jan. 4th

BAKER CITY — The Scouts of the Baker City and Haines area are making it easy on folks who need to dispose of their Christmas trees. Both of the local Cub Scout Packs, 422 and 432, as well as Boy Scout Troops 433 and 357 will be going around and collecting trees this Saturday that are set out on folks’ curbs in the towns of Baker City and Haines. Make sure all lights and ornaments are removed from the trees prior to setting them out on the curb. The pickup will begin around 9 a.m. this Saturday, January 4th.

Committee Chairperson Emily Braswell said donations are greatly appreciated, and the annual Christmas tree pickup efforts are one of the scouts’ biggest fundraisers each year. Folks wishing to donate this year can mail checks to:
