Scott Picks Up Second CCC Defender of the Week Award in 2022

LA GRANDE – (Release from Eastern Oregon University) The Cascade Collegiate Conference announced the Rize Laboratory Players of the Week Monday morning. For the second time this season, Cambree Scott was named the CCC Defender of the Week.
Scott earned the honor for her play in the CCC Tournament this weekend when the Mounties went 2-0 winning the Tournament Championship. The senior who currently leads the nation in blocks per set did what she has done all year totaling 14 blocks in two matches. Scott’s strong play at the net in the CCC Championship helped earn her the award. She put together an impressive nine-block performance Saturday evening as the Mountaineers won their second CCC Tournament Championship since 1993 in a 3-2 win over No. 4 Corban.
Offensively, Scott accounted for 12 kills on the weekend.
Scott and the Mountaineers return to action this Saturday when they take on the Rams from the University of Mobile in the Opening Round of the NAIA Volleyball Championship Tournament. The first serve is set for 1 p.m.
